Where: Autobahn Country Club - 3795 Centerpoint Way, Joliet, IL 60436 on the 3 acre skid pad.
When: July 13th 2025. Drift time will start at 9:30am and go until 5:00pm.
Event Details:
We are drifters too so we know how difficult it is to find a way to safely improve your skills and to test out your car. Our open drift days will give you the opportunity to get plenty of seat time to test yourself and your build. We limit the number of entries for these events because we want to ensure that everyone has maximum seat time. You should be able to get over 20+ runs in a day as long as you and your car stays together. We’ve also designed the course to give you options. There are 3 main track configurations that you can choose from for each of your runs, but we know how things might not go as planned out there so we aren’t strict on the exact course you run. Each run is time limited to keep things fair. The large skid pad at Autobahn works well for this type of course and we know you will love it. Bring your friends and family to spectate (no charge for spectators). We will be grilling food, but can only guarantee enough for the participants. There is a cafe just a short walk from the skid pad if you want to purchase food from the Autobahn cafe. Come out, hang out with us, and have some fun drifting!!
Arrival Details:
Upon arrival at the Autobahn Country Club, you will need to stop at the registration building to sign the waiver and get a wristband. Then come to the skid pad where we have our registration tent setup. Once you are registered with us, we will need to inspect your safety equipment and your car before you go on course. We will start inspections at 8:30am and are done on a first come first serve basis. These are the things we will be checking:
1. Absolutely no leaking fluids.
2. Batteries secured / tied down.
3. Helmet required. Motorcycle helmet is ok.
4. Long pants and close toed shoes required.
The Course:
We’ve designed this course with safety as our top priority. We want everyone to be able to have fun and be safe. Our course doesn’t have a lot of cones and it is sort of an open concept because we know there will be a wide variety of skill levels and we want to make sure everyone can get the maximum out of their day of drifting. Each run will be time limited to keep things fair. Take a look at the 3 course options and come up with a plan based on your skill level, car build, or whatever you want to work on. No 360 entries and no risky stuff. Anything unsafe will not be tolerated. If you are not sure about something it is much better to ask us.
